Dr. LanziDr. Phillip Lanzi - Practice Owner
Dr. Phillip Lanzi attended the University of Maryland where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science in 1981. He received his veterinary degree from the University of Florida in 1987. He is a member of AAHA as well as the well managed practice group, a unique collaboration of high quality small animal practice owners focused and dedicated to practicing gold standard medicine in a successfully managed practice. His special interests include laser surgery, radioactive iodine treatment for hyperthyroid cats, and small animal ear disease. His hobbies include all water sports, snow skiing, tennis, and spending time with his wife, Jamie and their two kid s, Caitlin and Trevor. They share their home with a Golden Retriever, Chance, a Jack Russell terrier, Spencer, and 3 cats, LuLu, Frankie, and Gizzie.

 

Dr. Ked Cottrell - Practice Owner
Dr. Cottrell Dr. Ked Cottrell attended Ball State University where he received a degree in marketing in 1983. He worked in private aviation in Santa Monica, California for 11 years before returning to school for Veterinary medicine. He obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Purdue University in 2002. His interests are general surgery, dermatology and internal medicine and he currently alternates his time between of both of our veterinary offices. He and his wife, Julie, moved to Wilmington in 2002 and have a son, Travis. They share their home with a schnauzer named Louise who enjoys coming to hang out at the beach office.

 

Dr. Christine Cunningham
Dr. Christine Cunningham received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Florida in 2004. During this time she was intramural chair for her sorority Sigma Alpha. She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University in 2008. After graduation, she moved to Wilmington with her husband Mark. They currently have one adorable cat named Chester Copperpot. Her hobbies include playing volleyball, running, and football. She and Mark welcomed their first child, Hailey, into the world May 2009.
 

Dr. Debra L. Donovan
Dr. Deb Donovan attended Oakland University (Rochester, Michigan) and received her B.S. in Biochemistry in 1991. She spent 8 years as Regulatory/Safety Coordinator for a Tier II automotive supplier in Michigan. She obtained her DVM from Michigan State University (GO GREEN, GO WHITE!) in 2003 and moved with her husband Rob to Florida to escape Michigan winters -- too cold! She and Rob moved from Ft. Lauderdale (too hot) to Wilmington (just right) in 2006. They have lots of 4-legged children: 4 dogs (Copper, Ripley, Dollop, Radar); 1 indoor cats ( Little One); 6 feral kitties that live in their garage (Scrappy, Stimpy, Roxy, Cassie, Pouf, and Bumble). Her areas of interest include dentistry, small animal internal medicine, and collecting dogs with heart conditions. She enjoys traveling, SCUBA diving, reading, horror movies and spending time with her family -- both 2 and 4-legged.
 

Dr. Corry Yeuroukis
Dr. Corry Yeuroukis grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and earned her Bachelors of Science degree from Westminster College in New Wilimington, PA in 2002. She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She then relocated to Jacksonville, NC in 2006 with her husband Jarod, who is also a veterinarian. They share their home with two cats, Ladybug and Phoebe. Dr. Yeuroukis also has a goldfish that she won at her elementary school fair in fourth grade, it currently resides in Pittsburgh with her mother, and she has a special interest in general wellness care for dogs and cats of all ages :)
 

Dr. Kim Smith
Dr. Kim Smith graduated from Purdue University's School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Previous to that she earned a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology at UNCW. Kim enjoys both internal medicine and general surgery. Kim and her husband, Adam, have lived throughout the country but have moved back to Wilmington to stay. Kim's favorite hobby is horseback riding and she has competed successfully in eventing for many years. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs (Cooper and Luke) and anything water related.
 

Office Manager - College Road Animal Hospital
Heather Blount, CVPM
Heather has been the Office Manager at College Road Animal Hospital since 2002, but has been employed at College Road Animal Hospital since 1996. She is originally from Ohio and graduated from UNC- Wilmington in 1998 with her BA in Environmental Science. She has completed the AAHA Veterinary Management Institute Series at Purdue University and received her Certificate in Veterinary Practice Management in 2007. Heather resides in Wilmington with her husband, daughter, and their 2 dogs (Duncan- a Welsh Pembroke Corgi, Fiona- a soft coated Wheaten Terrier), 1 cat (Mabel) and a parakeet (Klaus).
